UPC Munich (DE) Local Division welcomed US Bar EPO Liaison Council delegation The Unified Patent Court (UPC) welcomed today, 14 November, a delegation from the US Bar EPO Liaison Council at the Local Division in Munich. Today, 14 November, Matthias Zigann, Presiding judge at Munich (DE) Local Division had the pleasure of welcoming Enrica Bruno, Laura Brutman, Jasmine De Cock, Loren Hulse, Raymond Moser, John Pegram and James Signor from the US Bar EPO Liaison Council. The visit provided a good opportunity to exchange insights on the UPC’s role in the European patent system.The day began with the delegation attending a preliminary injunction hearing led by Panel 2 of the Munich (DE) Local Division, allowing them to observe the judicial procedures and approaches undertaken by the UPC.Following the hearing, a question-and-answer session took place, where discussions centered on the UPC's recent achievements and the challenges faced as a newly established court.The delegation concluded their visit by heading to the Boards of Appeal of the European Patent Office (EPO) in Haar.
