OATH TAKING OF THE JUDGES OF THE UNIFIED PATENT COURT Judges of the UPC took their oath in Paris and Luxembourg on 1 and 5 June 2023. According to Article 6 UPC Statute and Article 25 of the Regulations Governing the Conditions of Service of Judges, the Registrar and the Deputy-Registrar of the Unified Patent Court, judges shall take an oath in open court before taking up their duties.This oath taking ceremony has now been concluded. For the judges of the Court of First Instance (both legally and technically qualified judges) this took place in Paris, on 1 June 2023 at courtroom of the 1st Civil Chamber - Palais de justice de Paris. As for the judges of the Court of Appeal, their oath taking ceremony took place today, on 5 June 2023 in Luxembourg at the Court of Appeal of the Unified Patent Court. ImageImage
