UPC engages with future IP practitioners at National Moot Court Competition in Paris From 9 to 11 April 2025, the Unified Patent Court (UPC) took part in the National Moot Court Competition for French Masters in Intellectual Property Law (CN2PI), held in Paris The Parisian divisions of the Unified Patent Court participated in the National Moot Court Competition for French Masters in Intellectual Property Law (CN2PI), which took place in Paris from 9 to 11 April 2025. The invitation came at the request of Séverine Dusollier, Professor at Sciences Po Law School, aiming to familiarise students with the UPC and its role in the European judicial landscape.Florence Butin, President of the UPC Court of First Instance, introduced the Court during the event’s inaugural conference, alongside Professor Michel Vivant (Professor émérite at Sciences Po) and Professor Alain Pottage (Sciences Po Law School).On the final day of the competition, Camille Lignières, Presiding Judge of the Paris Local Division, served as a member of the jury that selected the prize winners from among the finalist teams.The UPC welcomes such initiatives that offer students the opportunity to engage with real-world legal institutions and encourages the promotion of knowledge and dialogue around patent litigation and the role of the Court in Europe.
