In view of the opening of the future section of the central division of the Unified Patent Court in Milan at the end of June 2024, the UPC Administrative Committee has agreed on the appointment of 3 judges to this future section of the central division. The names of the judges, as well as the determination of the Presiding judge will be communicated in due time.

The upcoming appointments follow the decision of Administrative Committee to amend the UPC Agreement, as adopted on 26 June 2023, setting up a section of the central division in Milan. Preceding the appointment decision of the Administrative Committee, a selection process has taken place in the beginning of 2024 with an opinion of the Advisory Committee of 19 April 2024 on the most suitable candidates for these posts.
