Professional Experience in Intellectual Property
Prior to her appointment as judge, she worked as patent examiner at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office in Munich.
In 2018 she was appointed as Technically Qualified Judge at the Federal Patent Court of Germany. She serves in a nullity board, a technical board of appeal as well as a board of appeal for utility models.
Professional Experience in Science
Between 1995 and 2004 she worked as development engineer in the semiconductor and automotive industry.

Beate Schenk obtained her Diploma (Dipl.-Ing) in chemical engineering from the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
