Full Bio Michel Abello has been appointed to the Court in June 2023. His technical focus is in mechanical engineering. Professional Experience in Intellectual Property From 1992 to 2003, he practiced as a patent attorney. In 2003, he joined the Paris Bar to take up the profession of lawyer, a profession which he practices in Loyer & Abello Law firm. During that period, he remained committed to teaching patent law, as a part-time Professor at Ecole Centrale Paris (France) and at Centrale Pekin in Beihang University (China) from 1996 to 2018. He was instructor in charge of workshops in drafting claims of patents for CEIPI from 1999 to 2014. He was also an instructor in civil proceedings and electronic communication (RPVA) for the Paris bar from 2012 to 2014. He was a member of the Jury for French patent attorneys (INPI) from 2001 to 2006. He is also the author of numerous publications in the field of IP law, in particular on the means for preserving evidence (saisie-contrefaçon) and employed inventor compensation.
