Full Bio Klaus Loibner has been appointed to the Unified Patent Court in July 2023. His technical focus is in telecommunications, electronics, electrical engineering as well as instrumentation and control engineering, computer science and computer implemented inventions. Professional Experience in Intellectual Property: He is patent examiner in the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Austrian Patent Office since 2000 and is involved in examination of patent applications and in opposition procedures and as a technically qualified member of the Nullity Department in patent invalidity proceedings. Additionally, in 2014 he has been appointed as technical lay judge for appeal procedures at the Higher Regional Court of Vienna.
