Court Court of First Instance Judge Full Bio François Thomas completed his law studies in 1993 at the Bordeaux University. Between 1996 and 1998 he visited the National School of Magistrates, and became shortly after a civil judge at the Court of First Instance in Lille. From 2022 until 2007, François worked at the Ministry of Justice in the civil and commercial international cooperation office in Paris and later as a seconded national expert at the European Commission in Brussels, until 2010. François was a patent judge in the Court of First Instance of Paris from 2012 until 2015 and chaired it in 2014 and 2015. Later on, he became a patent judge in the Court of Appeal of Paris, where he worked until 2020. Since 2020 he has been the chairman of a Commercial Chamber in the Court of Appeal of Versailles, as well as the head of the Court's commercial division.
